Initiation
Practice to become a Great One of Merit
To be initiated is to bow to and follow the
guidance of the Enlightened Master or Guru, to support the
mission of Buddha, to practice Dharma teachings, and to honor
the Sangha Holy Order.
Once you bow to a master and take refuge with
him, you must listen to the master's words, respect the master,
make offerings to the master, and cultivate Dharma with great
diligence.
Esoteric Buddhism teaches the attainment of
Buddhahood with this body. In other words, to attain awakening
in this one lifetime. You will not wait until the next lifetime.
If you want to become a Buddha, then it must be based on the
foundation of great merit.
How do you become a great one of merit? A
Buddha sees every being as his own father and his own mother.
When from the bottom of your heart you are able to see every
being as your own father and mother then you will be able
to bear whatever praise or criticism from anybody. Slowly
you will learn to forgive others. Over time you will begin
to develop patience and tolerance. But realize this, the wisdom
of patience and tolerance is only the beginning foundation
to become a great one of merit. Best wishes to you to attain
enlightenment soon.
